Spreading joy, celebrating culture and raising awareness for the environment and social equality are all on the agenda at this Munich festival.
During the Christmas season, from November 25 to December 23, 2025 (New Year's Eve party on December 31), Winter Tollwood invites you to a colorful mix of artistry and concerts, arts and crafts and culinary delights on the Theresienwiese. When it gets dark, the colorful glowing tent roofs and glittering sculptures point the way to the festival grounds from afar.
A special highlight this year: French artist Johann Le Guillerm enchants audiences with his poetic and magical show “Terces”. In a world where machines breathe and objects seem to dance, he appears to defy the laws of physics.
Stroll, browse, discover and enjoy at the “Market of Ideas“ with handicrafts and certified organic food from all over the world. Admission to the festival grounds with the “Market of Ideas“ is free of charge.
The festival takes place at the Theresienwiese, 80336 Munich.
On offer are embroidered handbags, fair trade clothes, jewellery, pottery and much more. Anyone looking for a very special gift is sure to find something here. And anyone meeting friends for a meal “at Tollwood“ will find Indian curry as well as couscous, African specialities, mulled wine or bratwurst in a roll.

Children are also catered for at the Winter Tollwood. In the children's tent they can do arts and crafts every day.
At the turn of the year there is a big New Year's Eve party with DJs and live music on three areas. At the stroke of midnight, the traditional New Year's waltz will be played on the Tollwood grounds. You are invited to dance.
